Youth Clubs

Youth Clubs for Young People Aged 11–16

Ceredigion Youth Service delivers Youth Clubs and universal activities for young people aged 11–16, working closely with partner services and organisations locally, regionally and nationally. Our experienced team of youth workers, youth support workers and coordinators provide safe, inclusive spaces where young people in Ceredigion can socialise, have fun and build confidence, alongside access to more targeted support where needed.

Clubs, Holiday Programmes and Outreach

Our Ceredigion youth clubs operate in Cardigan, Lampeter, Aberaeron and Aberystwyth, offering open-access sessions and activities, including trips and themed sessions during school holidays. We also deliver Mobile and Outreach Youth Work through “Y Fan” — our youth club on wheels — alongside detached and pop-up sessions in local communities. Inside Y Fan, young people can enjoy activities such as colouring, games, Xbox, snacks and hot drinks. Follow us on social media to find out when Y Fan is heading out next!

Youth Work in Secondary Schools

Ceredigion Youth Service provides School Based Youth Work through a dedicated youth worker in every secondary school across the county. Our youth workers offer a trusted, supportive presence within the school environment, working with young people to build confidence, resilience and positive relationships.

Targeted Support & Enrichment Activities

We deliver one-to-one and group support for a range of issues including wellbeing, anger management, bullying and anxiety. Alongside this, we run lunchtime and after-school clubs that give young people safe spaces to socialise, develop skills and engage in positive activities, helping to support emotional wellbeing and enhance their overall school experience.

Post-16 Guidance & Support

Ceredigion Youth Service provides dedicated Post-16 support for young people aged 16–25, offering guidance and encouragement to help them re-engage with education, training or employment. Our aim is to support young people to overcome barriers, build confidence and take positive steps towards a purposeful future, with support tailored to individual needs and circumstances.

Outreach Support for Young People

Our Outreach Team works directly with young people who are not in education, employment or training (NEET), providing one-to-one guidance, practical support and access to programmes that develop skills, wellbeing and employability. Whether exploring next steps, building life skills or accessing training and work opportunities, our team is here to help young people make informed choices and move forward positively.

Youth Wellbeing Support Ceredigion

Targeted
Prevention

Helping young people stay safe, make positive choices and build brighter futures.

Our Targeted Prevention work supports young people who may be at risk of offending or antisocial behaviour. We offer personalised guidance, diversionary activities and harm-reduction projects designed to help young people make safer choices, build confidence and take control of their future. By stepping in early, we support young people to stay on track and feel more connected to their communities.

Youth Justice

Specialist wellbeing support for young people in Ceredigion, involved in, or at risk of entering, the justice system.

Our Youth Justice team works with 10–18 year olds to reduce offending and support positive change. We manage court orders and out of court disposals, prepare reports for panels and provide one-to-one support tailored to each child and young person’s needs. Restorative Justice is at the heart of our approach, helping repair harm and rebuild relationships through meaningful actions.

Our aim is to guide children and young people toward safer decisions, greater resilience, wellbeing and brighter opportunities. We work to encourage positive change for children and young people, their families/ caregivers and the wider community.
